Orbridge. Oscarshamn’s nightmare wing is getting longer.

Their fifth straight loss came to Örebro, who only needed to take 14 shots to win 3-2.

– I think we are playing a good game, says Patric Karlqvist.

It was top versus bottom that met in Örebro. After winning the premiere over Luleå, Oscarshamn suffered four straight defeats and was last in the table.

When the two teams now met at the Bern Arena, the home side recorded their fifth win of the season and Oskarshamn suffered their fifth loss in a row.

Örebro laid the foundation for the victory in the first half.

In terms of hot chances, it was an even period, but Örebro was decisive when the chances arose.

Three goals on nine shots in two periods

Oliver Eklund shot 1-0 and Milton Oscarsson scored 2-0 in an open cage.

– It was a difficult corner, then I saw Filip (Holm) and passed, then I went with the stick on the ice and put the puck back on the blade, says Oscarsson in an interview at the arena.

Örebro only fired four shots at Marek Langhammer, but Oscarsson was satisfied.

“We play the game we want to play, come out hard and put pucks deep,” he says.

“small margins”

Oskarshamn got a low on the power play through Lukas Jasek and Örebro continued to have difficulty getting shots on Oskarshamn’s goal.

But it was only on the eighth shot against Langhammer, at the end of the middle period, that Jonathan Lekirimaki slotted home the all-important goal to make it 3-1.

Viktor Lodin dropped in with 36 seconds left and Örebro won 3-2.

– You can achieve something better than a late goal, but I think we played a very good game. There are small margins and it is sad that we have to work hard again today. But I think it’s a good effort overall, says Oskarshamn striker Patrick Karlqvist.

“We believe in ourselves”

Jonas Arntzen was in goal for Örebro in his second match of the season and has only conceded three goals in these matches.

-I get good help from the boys. “I think it’s a fairly controlled game on our part,” says Arntzen.

Örebro ranks second in the table.

-We believe in ourselves and that we will win everything in the end. We have a good group of players who can definitely go far in the end. We started the season well and there are still many games to go. But the points mean as much now as they did in January and February, so it’s important to take as many as we can, Arntzen says.
