Peter “Foppa” Forsberg fired more against Henke and Salo in the NHL

Spotlight on Mats Sundin as captain of the Tre Kronauer team

Peter “Foppa” Forsberg sparked even more excitement when he met the Swedish NHL goaltenders.

It would not have been appropriate to show more respect to the citizens and colleagues of Trey Kronor.

– It was more fun to score on Swedish goalkeepers, says the legend in Sportbladet’s hockey studio.

During his successful NHL career, Peter “Foppa” Forsberg didn’t mind doing something special against Swedish goaltenders.

Over the years, the great Swedish goalkeepers have replaced each other, from Hardy Ostrom and Bill Lindbergh to Linus Ullmark and Jakob Markstrom.

During the 1990s and 2000s, Henrik Lundqvist and Tommy Salo were the big names in Swedish goalkeeping.

– “Hinky” was fun to record, of course. It wasn’t easy, if you score a goal on ‘Hinkie’ you know you’ve done something good anyway. They wanted the Tommy Salo tunnel, because I felt that way well. It was more fun to score against the Swedish goalkeepers. I can’t say anything else, says Foppa.

Nobody is better than a snap

At Hockeymorning, they also talk about leaders, among other things.

“Foppa” highlights both Colorado Avalanche’s Joe Sakic and Trey Cronauer’s Mats Sundin in the role.

– It would have been difficult to have a better captain than Mats Sundin at Tre Kronauer. He was someone who really wanted to play for the Swedish national team and wanted to win every match. I learned through Sudden that it is not okay not to join or play for Sweden, says Foppa.

Success of the new program

In the studio at Hockeymorgon were Peter “Foppa” Forsberg, Hans Abrahamsson, Thomas Ross, Joanna Lagos and Christopher Kviborg.

The guests on the link were the head coaches Matthias Karlin and Robert Olsson at Modo and Skelleftea respectively.
