During Thursday evening in New York, the new documentary “Open Heart” by Henrik Lundqvist premiered.

After the film was shown, Henrik Lundqvist answered questions from the audience, including what it’s like to share some of your hardest moments.

– I remember, there were a few times when we filmed, and you get taken back to those moments and get emotional but you know…. I can talk about the experience all the time and it feels good, but sometimes you get certain questions and you come back… I know all doctors They are here somewhere, says Lundqvist according to Expressen.

“He’s popular in town.”

Lundqvist also addressed a scene in the film where he and his wife, Therese Lundqvist, have a conversation with his doctor, Roselli, and are informed that he has a serious heart defect, and must put his career on hold so as not to risk his death.

– I get questions about that conversation and it’s something I’ll never forget. It was a lot to deal with. But it was great working on this and dealing with all the emotions. I feel so happy and grateful and so excited for what comes next.

In the documentary, several profiles are seen – Niklas Backstrom, Kevin Weekes, Mike Richter, and Carl Hagelin who reviewed the film for Expressen:

– He really opens up, showing emotion out of the ice. He mentioned it himself, that it’s something he hadn’t really thought about, how he thought when it came to him as a person, versus him as a player. And he’s been able to do that in recent years, after something as dramatic as this happened. So it was a good documentary. He is loved in this city. He has meant an incredible amount to the Rangers as an organization.
