Now the new RIK coach has decorated the chainsaw dressing room.

Most heroes Redbergslids IK I’ve played in the First Division of Handball for 40 years – the most consecutive seasons for any club in the Handball League today.
But after having to qualify last year and then losing world goalkeeper Andreas Balica, shooting king and super talent Elliot Steinmalm, goalkeeper talent Oscar Savinger, and seasoned league personality Tobias “Roman”Johansson”, Sportbladet RIK finished last in the “kamikaze.” Hint. “In June about how the Handball League will end next season. A jumbo place means direct relegation, while the three closest teams above qualify.
Part of the justification read: “Shaky building.”
This prompted new coach Marenko Kortović to move.
– I read that you totally knocked us out. I actually made something out of it and covered the walls in the dressing room with it. This, he says, motivates the players in their daily workouts.
I offer this lighter fluid.
It’s fun when people instantly judge us without really knowing what we’re offering.
Will wallpaper with the new party as well
After a long career as a goalkeeper for several Swedish league clubs during the 1980s and 1990s, including a professional stint in Spain, Kurtovic made a name for himself as a coach in Norway where he led, among other things, Arendal to the gold medal.
Now the 60-year-old Swedish handball player is back as a coach for the first time.
– I’ve been involved for a long time and have experienced that many experts judge one person and then show the opposite. It motivates players to prove the experts wrong.
Kertovich says of Rick’s goals:
We are very busy with development, of course, to be one or two steps ahead of the table compared to last year, and I think we should not come last, and that is our clear goal. But we will try to chase 8th place (qualifying), it would have been fun for RIK.
After Sportbladet spoke with Kurtovic, this weekend we published new advice for the Handball League regarding reporting all signings and losses, giving extra scores to teams and rating all teams.
Then RIK stayed in last place.
– In two weeks we will be moving from Rosendalshallen to our new “home” in the Prioritet Serneke Arena. Next, we’ll wallpaper the dressing room with the new advice, says sporting director Toni Larson with a laugh.
On Wednesday, RIK kicked off the competitive season with an away match in the Sweden Cup against VästeråsIrsta. It was a 31-22 loss to seventh last season at Allsvenskan.
