Now he scored another goal – his first goal in the FIFA World Cup.
Then it was completely broken for the captain of the Polish team, who fell on the grass crying after his 2-0 goal against Saudi Arabia.
Robert Lewandowski, 34, is one of the world’s all-time leading scorers in more than a decade of football at the highest club level.
The Barcelona striker has scored 13 goals in 14 La Liga matches this season alone, having previously scored 238 goals in 253 league matches for Bayern Munich.
In total, including for club and national team, he has scored more than 600 goals.
However, there was still one thing he never did – a goal in the FIFA World Cup.
Now he did.
She breaks down in tears
In the 82nd minute of Poland’s victory over Saudi Arabia, the captain of the Polish national team took advantage of a defensive error and scored a goal in the match with two clean goals.
Goal, number 77 in total in the national team shirt, which undoubtedly means a lot to Lewandowski.
When the ball was in the net, the Polish star fell to the ground with tears of joy and relief streaming down his cheeks. This is at the same time that his colleagues formed a TV pile on top of him.

He missed a penalty in the opening game
At the World Cup four years ago, Poland was knocked out in the group stage without Lewandowski scoring a single goal.
And at the premiere of this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he missed a penalty kick in a scoreless match against Mexico.
Now, however, he finally had the last word – which also paved the way for a solid Polish victory.
A victory achieved in a generally dramatic manner – thanks, among other things, to an unparalleled double penalty from Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
With the 2-0 win, Poland moved up to four points after two matches in Group C. This means they are in a promising position to progress to the round of 16.
