Rögle beat Linköping after the drama

Linköping was on the verge of turning a 0-3 deficit into a victory.

But Rogel got the extra point after the penalty shootout.

The home team’s fans were in good spirits and cheered for their team after the first half.

For 20 minutes, they watched Rogel play ice hockey against Linköping – which was also visible on the scoreboard.

But in the second half, the impressive play was shattered. Linköping got up and made two cuts.

Taylor Lear scored 3-1 from a very tight angle and then Fabian Wagner scored his first goal in the SHL to make it 3-2.

Then it became more difficult for goalkeeper Rogel. Peter Kavaka was run over by one of his own players and had to leave the match injured. Christopher Refalke jumped in and played a crucial role.

In the third period, the game was tied. Rögel looked to be looking to seal the win, but with less than 20 seconds left, the equalizer came from Linköping – after an own goal.

Then the match had to be decided on penalties and the home team was the better. Rivalk held on and the extra point went to Ángelholm’s team.
