“Deadpool” actor Ryan Reynolds already owns a football team in Wales – and now he wants to play hockey.
He wants to buy the NHL team the Ottawa Senators.
“But I’m going to need a sugar daddy,” he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

He wants to enter the NHL
Now the Canadian wants to join another professional sports team – this time on home soil.
“I’m trying to buy senators in Ottawa,” he told Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.
– But I’ll need a partner with a big wallet.
The idea is that Reynolds – who grew up partly in Ottawa – would be the face of a property union.
– A nicer way of saying I need a sugar mom or a sugar daddy, he says.
When the team hosted the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night, Reynolds was there and projected onto the jumbotron to great cheers from the crowd.

After the death of former owner Eugene Melnik four months ago, the senators are now up for sale.
In 2021, Forbes estimated the team at 5.7 billion kroner and the Melnik family should be willing to sell only on the condition that the Sens reside in the Canadian capital.
– The process is handled by an investment bank appointed for this purpose. We keep ourselves updated. We have to go through stakeholders when they come to it,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman tells CBC.
The Ottawa Senators include three Swedes on the team. Goalkeepers Anton Forsberg, Magnus Helberg and defender Eric Bernström.
