Sarr and Wålemark on professional life in the Netherlands

Helsingborg. 4-3-3 with an attacking trio from Holland will take Sweden to the European Under-21 Championship.

Tonight is Sweden’s win or loss in the final round against Italy at Olympia.

– Players with the qualities we have that fit perfectly in the league, says the U21 national team and Heerenveen midfielder Amin Sarr.

Janne Andersson introduces a new way to play in the national team with great interest.

The national under-21 team played 4-3-3 throughout the year.

– Because it fits the player’s material very well. We have a lot of good midfielders, and that suits our attackers, says acting national team captain Andreas Petersson who was Jens Gustavsson’s assistant.

Jan and Peter listened a little to our experiences and how we thought, says Peterson.

Under-21 players who will take a step into the national team in the future will have 4-3-3 experience in the national team environment.

Tonight in Helsingborg, Sweden, currently Group C, the win or loss match is played against group leaders Italy. Sweden must win their last game in the group and then wait for the result between the Italians and group runners-up Ireland on Tuesday. There has to be a winner between Italy and Ireland to be the first Sweden (and go directly to the European Championships in Romania and Georgia next year) or second (and go to the playoffs).

– There are good chances. It is possible that Italy will not come with the same team that we met last time because some players have been promoted to their national team. So maybe they have a slightly weaker team. But it is a skilled team. Although we are also skilled, he says Amin Sarri U21: s 4–3–3.

Sar became a resident at the beginning immediately

Sweden can form very well with an attacking trio of the Eredivisie with, from the right, Patrick Wahlmark (Fyenoord), Sarr (Heerenveen) and Paulus Abraham (Groningen).

AirDevice It’s always been a popular destination for Allsvenskan players, but last season there were actually more Swedes than nine years ago: 16 players (the highest level ever is 17 from 2012/13), compared to seven just three years ago.

– It is the league that is a reasonable move from Allsvenskan. There have been a lot of Swedes over the years and that makes it easy to adapt. Dutch clubs have good control of the Allsvenskan and I think Swedish clubs and agents, who in turn have good control of the league in the Netherlands, also recommend their players to go there, says Andreas Petersson.

Patrick Walmarck (Fyenoord), Sarr (Heerenveen) and Paulus Abraham (Groningen).

Things went really fast last winter when Amin Sarr was sold by Malmö FF to Heerenveen, after being a regular at Allsvenskan for six months, on loan to Mjällby during the fall.

According to reports, the Foundation received the full 24 million in exchange for Sar. He himself never hesitated.

I played in Allsvenskan for six months and did a good job and felt I wanted a new challenge and play in another league with a higher quality so that I could then advance in Europe.

The move seems perfect. The 21-year-old became a fixture in his first 11 games almost immediately and scored 5 goals in 13 league games this spring.

– It was hard to get back in shape when I got there without a pre-season in my body but I was only free for a month. But when I got back in shape again, I got really good.

In the eighth league, he is accompanied by another player in the national under-21 team – midfielder Rami El-Hajj who actually moved there when he was young when he was in Valkenburg.

– It’s a very good move. Players with all of our four attributes (under 21 years old) fit right into the league. If you’re skilled individually, this is a good move, says Sarr.

The players have very good technique and high pace. These are good areas for attacking players because all teams want to move forward.

Heerenveen is a classic Swedish club, noted by Sarr.

Who do you talk about most? What are the most popular?

– Marcus Albach. and Afonso Alves (although he is Brass, but he played several years in Urgret and Malmö FF).

“The fans are totally crazy”

Patrick and Lemark left Haken for Feyenoord last winter.

Holland is a great step. It’s not the highest standard but it’s a good compromise and it’s high quality on most teams. Wallmark says it’s a growing league.

He had a harder time than Sarr to take a place in Holland with Feyenoord III but he doesn’t regret his choice.

Of course you always want more starts, but it was the end of the season and a lot of important games, so it’s understandable that you don’t change much.

Feyenoord went to the Europa League final. Wålemark had a short break in the final loss against Roma.

It was boring that we didn’t get the gold but the way there with a lot of great matches and new experiences was a great journey.

Feyenoord from the port city of Rotterdam is often referred to as the “People’s Club” in the Netherlands and has the legendary arena at De Kuip.

What is your relationship with the masses?

There is a big difference from Swedish football. So they are completely crazy. On the streets they are everywhere. 95% of the city’s population are fans of Feyenoord. It was tough encountering De Kuip for the first time, says Wålemark.
