Reportedly, Channel Nine began formulating plans for a documentary about Shane Warren already three weeks after his death.

It was announced on Wednesday that the documentary will be shown in two parts early next year.

Distasteful, says Warren Brooke’s 25-year-old daughter.

“Don’t you respect my father? Or his family? He has done so much for your TV channel and you are now filming his life and the life of our family six months after his death? Terribly disrespectful”‚ she writes on Instagram.

A Channel Nine spokesperson told the Guardian the documentary was “a tribute to an extraordinary person”.

“We have great respect for Shane Warren as a person and for what he has achieved in his career. We hope all Australians, including his family, feel that the documentary honors his legacy and his life”.
