The Swedish election campaign is in full swing.

Politicians argue and fight over whether citizens should vote for their own party on 9/11.

How does it look in SHL? Which party would win the election if the hockey stars decided?

Sportbladet tried to find out. In our January Big Players poll, we asked SHL players which party they would vote for if there were an election today.

74 players cast their votes in the digital ballot box and it turns out Moderates He scored a landslide victory. Just over 43 percent of respondents voted for Ulf Christerson’s party.

“It’s not impossible for them to get my vote.”

Sportbladet has invited Skellefteå AIK’s Jonathan Bodas, who was named the best defender in the SHL last season and is known for saying what he thinks, to analyze the election results.

Who do you think won?

– Oh, can I imagine the moderates?

Yes, they got 43.2 percent and are by far the biggest party.

Many may want to know if someone else can manage and improve it. So it’s probably not impossible that they get a “64” vote either, says Skelleftea #64.

The Moderates became the largest party by a wide margin even in the Sportbladet poll of Allsvenskan footballers. Jonathan Levy of IFK Norrköping was aware that the massive support had a lot to do with the fact that footballers are paid more than the average Svensson and don’t want to pay as much in taxes.

Could that play into the fact that SHL players earn well too?

– I totally think he can do that to some. But for my part, I feel like it’s time to try and give someone else a chance to drive, says the 29-year-old Bodas.

SD is the second biggest: “damn surprise”

When Sportbladet read the election results, Pudas stated that the Swedish Democrats are the second largest party among SHL players, even though opinion polls suggest they have more support among the Swedish public in general.

– It’s amazing that there were actually so many SD voices. very sick. Now they are growing up, but I feel like they may not have pure flour in the bag considering all the things that are going on. Although they say there isn’t much racism, it shows every day that someone in the party is making a racist statement on some forum and things like that. After all, Jimmy (Okeson) is skilled at debates and that might make a lot of people vote in that direction. I really do not know.

The Social Democrats, who make up about 30 percent of the largest party in the latest Aftonbladet/Demoscope poll, receive just 5.3 percent of the players’ vote.

– It’s a strange feeling. As we touched on earlier, it may be because so many are well paid, but at the same time, I think it shouldn’t be the only thing you care about. I think they want to know if a blue government can lead to a different government in Sweden. I hope this is the reason and not the money.

They don’t get a single vote

The Greens don’t get a single sudden vote?

– Yes, a little surprise. Some things are good but some things are extreme too. I still think someone will step in and vote for them.

Is it sensitive to talk about politics in the team?

– No, it may have been discussed a little. But in general, we are probably not as aware as we should be. Anyway, most people try to make an electoral compass and that’s what makes the noise. It’s not that sensitive and there’s usually some discussion, Pudas says, adding with a laugh:

– I probably wouldn’t say it’s too high, neither for me nor the rest of hockey. In general, I don’t think we are the best read.
