About 300 women were sexually assaulted by the former doctor of the US national gymnastics team, Larry Nassar, who in January 2018 was sentenced to 175 years in prison.
In the summer of 2015, many top American gymnasts – including Olympic stars Simone BilesMacKayla Maroney and Aly Raisman – Alerts for the FBI.
Despite this, it took more than a year before Nassar was arrested by the police and during that time he is said to have raped 90 other girls.
Simone Biles, who called Larry Nassar “more a pedophile than a doctor,” has previously called the FBI’s actions “betrayal.”

Now she and more than 90 other women are choosing to file a joint lawsuit against the FBI.
They are seeking damages totaling $1 billion, equivalent to about 10 billion Swedish kronor.
“The FBI knew Larry Nassar was a danger to children. For 421 days, they worked actively with the Federation and the Olympic Committee to silence information to the public while allowing it to continue raping young women and girls. It is time to hold the FBI accountable.”they write in the lawsuit, according to the New York Post.
