A few days ago, Patrick Carlson Lagmer’s fifth knee injury was confirmed.

Now begins Baka’s long way back – who will once again go under the knife.

– I always dreamed that my children would see me play football in the future, says the 25-year-old.

A few days ago, IK Sirius announced that Patrick Carlson Lagmer He suffered a knee injury – his fifth in his career – and will be out for the rest of the season.

Now the main character herself for the first time talks about feelings after the announcement.

– To be completely honest, I knew almost immediately that it was a serious thing. Then there was really no pain at all. But with the experience you have, you know when it’s not good. It came very early. It was very clear. When I got the news, I wasn’t too shocked. Everyone said we have to believe it and of course you can believe it, but I have the routine and I’ve had these problems before. I knew,” Baka says to Sportbildit.

I got a standing ovation

It was on August 28 that the accident occurred.

Carlson Lagmer, who left IFK Gothenburg for IK Sirius before this season, has returned to Gamla Ullevi as a competitive player for the first time.

After 25 minutes, the midfielder had to come down with tears streaming down his cheeks.

– There were a few things that came to mind when I had to go from one long side around the goal and on the other hand. Lots of thoughts and feelings. warm applause. The family was there and I knew how much I was looking forward to this match. He says I couldn’t keep her inside.

It was the game I’ve been looking forward to the most since I left Bluevet. Maybe that’s what got hold of me, too. All conditions were just right to go out and have fun. The love that you immediately received from everyone exactly, both inside and outside, is difficult to accept.

“I thought a lot”

The 25-year-old is at home in Gothenburg and will be forced to undergo surgery.

Are you determined to get back on the right track?

– Obviously, many thoughts have been running through my head since that day. It is difficult to say now how it will all turn out. But I hope to do myself justice and get over this. We’ll see how it feels and all that with the body. Sometimes the body says “no” and then there’s not much you can do.

Have you ever had the idea that there might not be anything else?

– This idea has obviously been thought about many times, and not just after this injury. I would be lying if I said it doesn’t exist, because it obviously does exist.

Is it a matter of going under the knife of course?

– For me, that’s all. Being able to get exactly the help needed to do what I love most. But if I feel like, “No, that won’t work,” I did anyways to be able to do what I love most in life. I have always dreamed of my children seeing me play football in the future. If it doesn’t work now, it probably will in a few years, so it’s a good idea to have the operation. Now it looks like I’m doing it for the future, but I’m going to do everything in my power to get back and play football.
