According to Sportbladet’s information, the Swedish Football Association has contacted Sirius to get rid of Daniel Bäckström – and all points to his introduction as the federation’s new captain within the next few weeks.

The national under-21 team already holds a meeting in mid-November as Sweden meet Denmark at home and Azerbaijan away.
