The other day we reported that Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds had emerged as an obvious candidate to buy the Ottawa Senators.
Reynolds has been in the news recently as English football club Wrexham United, which he and friend Rob McElhenney bought, recently gained promotion to League Two.
Reynolds appears to have gotten a taste of life as a sports tycoon, but he is now expected to face unexpected competition in a potential bidding war for the Ottawa Senators.
None other than Snoop Dogg.

The American rap star and celebrity is seriously getting into the game, according to The Athletic. It is said to be part of a business group run by Los Angeles businessman Nico Sparks.
– Snoop is very involved in this. He’s the one who comes up with ideas and is really keen. A source close to Snoop told The Athletic he wants this team.
Cheering for Toronto?
Snoop Dogg is one of the most popular entertainers in the world with over 100 million followers on his social media accounts. According to The Athletic, they want to use his charisma to attract new fans and spread buzz around the Ottawa Senators.
A source explains that plans are already being made for how Snoop himself will be involved in tag team matches, including as a TV expert on TSN broadcasts.
It is worth noting, however, that Snoop has previously been claimed to be a “huge supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs”…
According to Forbes, the Ottawa Senators are valued at the equivalent of SEK 8 billion.
