Superstars Marcus Kruger and Daniel Brodin did not last long in the derby match against AIK.
Both were forced to retire already upon landing.

Djurgården quickly ran out of people in the derby against AIK on Thursday. Right before the start of the match, superstars Marcus Kruger and Daniel Brodin had to pull out. They both trained fully and also participated in the match warm-up.
After the match, coach Johann Garbenlöf told us that they both fell ill.
– They felt bad after warming up and vomited, he told Sportbladet.
Did you see any indications of that?
– not at all.
All this led to Djurgården being short on people and forced to match his players even stronger. Ludvig Rensfeldt had to pull the big load, which was noted for around 25 minutes of playing time.
– it was hard. You obviously have a lot of adrenaline and it’s hot in the lounge. You were tired at the end, but you’re running so much on adrenaline.

He thinks they slowed down a lot by losing two of their stars.
– He’s heavy, of course, it’s two of our top players. Kruger is the captain of our team and has excelled in the last matches as captain. All teams will be affected by it.
The match was a loss for Djurgården, who had to see AIK win 2-1 after a late goal.
