On Thursday, the new SHL season will finally begin – and at the same time, Dream Team, Sportbladet’s popular managers’ competition, will get underway.
Who will be the discovery of the year and which star should be chosen as team captain?
Here, many of the SHL’s biggest profiles highlight their respective teams.

Linus Omark, Lulea

You have to do it! Our line (Omark–Tyrväinen–Andreasson) is a recipe for success. Patrik Karlqvist is a great player and will likely win the points league. He will be my team leader. Then I wanted Jonathan Dahlin to join as well, but I couldn’t afford him.
Oscar Eklund is a monster in the team, he will score a lot of goals I think. Lukas Wernblum has a lot of hockey skills and he could pull it off. Damn good find. Jeppe Sellgren will play an incredible number of minutes for us. Jesper Pettersson plays a lot in Linköping and does a good job.
Henrik Tömmernes will finish in the top five in the points league. Tom Nelson is playing with him, so it’s free points. And Karl Lindbom is in goal – he might even score a goal too! He did that last year.
Jonathan Bodas, Skelleftea

incentivize: I think Lasse Johansson will play a lot. Then we have three young players who will do well and get big roles. Philipp Holm will be the father of the team and will make his sticks.
On the front side, I start with Patric Karlqvist and Oskar Lindbergh, you know what you get from them. They will defend strong scoring. In Eric Thorell, you get a lot for your money, and I don’t think people really know about him. Great player, real deal!
Sebastian Hartmann is a very handsome old man. Anton Lander said he was great in the preseason. Then the budget gets tight, and hopefully they can produce. Milton Oscarson was good against us in the playoffs.
You have appointed Axel Sandin Bjelica as team captain. I hope I can make him some sandwiches.
Emil Silvgaard, Vaxjo

incentivize: Henrik Tömmernes was the first one I clicked with. He is strong and good defensively and offensively. He will score many points and will have a big role in Frölunda. He was great and will be my team captain.
Växjö has conceded a few goals over the years and Emil Larmi was named player of the playoff. He was an obvious choice in goal.
Emil Selfgaard? I have three million, and I will benefit from the money. I can’t afford Joel Pearson, but I hope I can play with him on the power play. I am happy with the team. It is up to the testimony of the gentlemen you have chosen.
Matthias Brom, Örebro

incentivize: I have to bring myself. They are generally expensive players. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford Glen Gustafson.
I’ve tried to find young people who are thriving, like Jonathan Lekirimaki and Theodor Niederbach.
Then I brought in Henrik Tömmernes as an expensive full-back. I really appreciate Lucas Bello and I think he is underappreciated. I’ve heard Teemu Kivihalme praised by Thomas Kolar.
Linus Öberg can make a fresh start in Örebro. Sebastian Strandberg also doesn’t get enough attention for his skill.
Samuel Johansson and Ludwig Larsson will score points in attacking roles for us.
In goal, I had to sign Christopher Refalke, who was a little cheaper, but always performs well.
It’s an exciting team.
