Bestad. For Wilma and Maja Linden, Midsummer was something extraordinary.
Young Arsenal fans were able to meet their idol Stena Blackstein outside the Swedish national team hotel.
– I was already shocked, the star himself says about the meeting.
Training the Swedish national team in a stadium was a popular festival. On Saturday, just over 500-600 gathered and there was a loud cheer as the players hit the crossbar one shot after another.
– It was a lot of fun and I think it helps us train as well. It becomes a little different when you see a lot of people. He says we focus extra on what we do Stena Blacksteins.
Both adults and children queued to get autographs and take pictures with the Swedish stars.
Rolfö gave up shoes
But for some, it just got better than that. On that day, Fridolina Rulfo surprised a little girl by giving her football boots.
– It was actually very spontaneous. We had photography and photoshoot. There were a few people standing there watching outdoors. Then there was a girl standing there looking and waiting for some time. I noticed she was very interested, so I applied after that, and then I put on a pair of soccer shoes there. I thought it would be fun to surprise her because she seemed so interested, and then I gave it to her, says Rulfo.

On a midsummer day, it was Stena Blacksteinius who got a surprise. When the player’s bus returned to the hotel after training, there were two young girls wearing Arsenal shirts with the name Plastenius on their backs.
– I was already shocked. We took some pictures etc and I am also happy to meet two little girls walking around in Arsenal shirts with my name on it. It feels really great, so you want to do what you can to give back because they came here but also because they look up to you, says Blacksteinius.
He will fix the tickets
The two girls are called Wilma and Maja Linden, and they came down with their family from Trollhättan to watch the national team and their big idol.
To show her appreciation, the star repaired the national team shirt she had signed, but it didn’t end there.
The family hopes to be able to go to London this fall to watch the girls’ favorite team, Arsenal.
“They mentioned something about wanting to go and see a game this fall, so I said if you did, I would promise you tickets, of course,” says Blacksteinius.
