IFK Gutenberg recruits a new striker.
Suleiman Abdullah signed a contract with the club until 2025.

Nigerian striker Suleiman Abdullah, 25, joins on a free transfer from Bundesliga-club Union Berlin.

Abdullah is a player, the new chief scout at IFK Gothenburg, Stig Torbjörnsen already has a good understanding.

Don’t forget in Berlin
Abdullah played with two teams in Germany, Eintracht Braunschweig and Union Berlin.
But he made the biggest impression at Union Berlin.
With the decisive goal, Abdullah became historic when he propelled the club into the Bundesliga for the first time ever.
Union Berlin wrote in a press release when they announced that Abdullah’s contract with the club would not be extended, “Suleiman is a name forever in the history of the union thanks to his goal in the play-off against VFB Stuttgart.”
After the heroic goal, it was even more difficult for Abdullah, who had difficulty taking a place in the starting lineup.
The last time he played a competitive match was in May 2021.
