Tampa Bay Lightning beat Montreal Canadiens – Brayden Point with a dream goal

There were four Montreal players around him.

But no one managed to stop Brayden Point, 26, who was responsible for a dream goal.

– He’s a special player, says fellow Swede Victor Hedman, 32, according to nhl.com.

The Tampa Bay Lightning had a comfortable home win against the Montreal Canadiens. Victor Hedman assisted on Adam Killorn’s 1-0 goal and Tampa Bay then took a 4-0 lead in a game that ended 4-1.

– It was a good game by us after the Christmas break. “You could tell we were happy to be back,” says Victor Hedmann, according to nhl.com.

Brayden Point scored the dream goal

The person who seemed to be in a really good mood was Brayden Point. The 26-year-old Canadian presented the crowd with a really nice goal.

He had four (!) defenders around him as he entered the attacking zone. Nobody in Montreal could stop him and before Point neatly put the puck in behind Jake Allen, he made a delicious fine between the stick and skates of defender Joel Edmondson.

From his position on the ice, Victor Hedman couldn’t help but watch and enjoy as his teammate stood by his amazing performance.

– I got to see it from the best place again. Hedman says he’s a special player.

‘A player who makes the difference’

And there were more who paid tribute to Point.

– Its design…it’s impressive. He has the will to succeed. He’s a player who makes the difference,” Tampa Bay coach John Cooper said.

Victor Hedman had two assists in the game.
