Tears of Paulo Dybala after the last Juventus match

Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala bid farewell to the Juventus fans.

Emotional farewell.

The Argentine cried a lot inside when the fans praised him.

Juventus lost 2-0 to 2-2 against Lazio.

But the outcome was not the main issue of the evening. It was the departure of two great players in the club’s history. Midfielder Giorgio Chiellini was replaced with a standing ovation in his last game for the club.

After the match, he thanked for the support, which he apparently received, with his daughter on his shoulders.

‘Hard to imagine’

Paulo Dybala’s farewell to Juventus Stadium has become even more difficult. Before the match, he said goodbye to the fans in an Instagram post:

I thought we’d be together for a few more years but fate led us in different directions. Tomorrow will be the last game in this shirt and it’s hard to imagine. It won’t be easy but I will leave the field with a smile and keep my head high.

But when the light went out and Dybala fans clapped to the tune of “Simply the Best”, he buried his face in the shirt and cried the rivers inside. Leonardo Bonucci had to push him towards the fans so he could stand alone and receive the honour.

The 28-year-old came to Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and scored 115 goals and won 12 trophies with Juventus.

Once the camera was criticized on the field and Juventus management found Andrea Agnelli and Josep Marotta in the front line, they were booed by home fans. In protest at how the club withdrew his contract offer to Dybala earlier in the season.

Juventus also haven’t prepared any tributes to Dybala – unlike Chiellini – but the Argentine received a farewell that he will soon forget anyway.
