A few words about the NHL veteran
NHL veteran Corey Perry, 38, is missing from the Chicago Blackhawks.
But no explanation was given.
– We haven’t really been told any details, says teammate Nick Foligno.
Longtime NHL star Corey Perry missed Chicago’s game Thursday night and was not at team practice the next day.
He is also not part of the team that will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night.
NHL teams often come up with some sort of explanation for why players are absent, but in the case of the 38-year-old, it’s a wordy one, to say the least. The club says this is an “organizational decision,” but no further information has been provided.
And the players don’t seem to know much either.
– it’s a pity. We haven’t really been told any details, says Nick Foligno according to The Athletic.
Even coach Luke Richardson is silent.
We are keeping it internal within the organization for now. “I won’t be able to answer any more questions about that,” he says.
He refused to answer several questions
Richardson also did not share any additional information hours before tonight’s game against Toronto.
Sports reporter Mark Lazerus signs off X Richardson refused to say whether it was Perry’s or anyone else’s decision not to play, how long he would be out, how Perry was doing, or whether there was any way Perry could return to the team.
