In the middle of the first half interviews in the FC Trollhättan-Häcken match, the broadcast was interrupted.
A cameraman fell dramatically through the floor of the television tower.
– He was stunned but had only minor injuries, says Eric Westberg, athletic director at SeaMore.
After another impressive half for Swedish champions Häcken, with a 3-0 half-time lead against FC Trollhättan, the incredible talent Momodu Sonko, 18, was due to be interviewed at CMore.
Then both the picture and the sound disappeared from the IP address of Edsborg in Trollhättan in CMore.
the reason? The cameraman in the built TV tower was carelessly smashing to the ground.
– The planks caved in to the floor, there was a big hole, and it was left hanging in the scaffolding, Lars Andersson, head of FC Trollhättan’s football committee, tells TT/Ella.
The case has been slowed down
Anderson, along with others, managed to prevent the photographer from falling further onto the asphalt.
– We managed to catch him, it could have been really bad, Anderson says.
TV4 and CMore’s Sports Director and Program Director Eric Westberg explains the incident:
– The broadcast was interrupted due to an accident between the staff. In the first half the camera platform gave way, so we couldn’t shoot the second half.
How is the photographer?
– According to information from the production company, fortunately, the cameraman only suffered minor injuries, but he was clearly in shock, Westberg told Sportbladet.
Mikael Rastedt, Unit Director in Sport and Outdoor Life in the city of Trollhättan, tells TT/Ela:
– We have a company that built the scaffolding, and I actually don’t know what happened. Hope to find out more on Monday.
Honest hat-trick
Television viewers were greeted with a message: “We have a problem with the image of the arena. We are working to solve the problem.”
But there were no photos from the second half. Hedge won 6-1 after three goals from Ibrahim Sadiq.
Thus, Häcken is 11-1 in the first two matches in the Swedish Cup after meetings with Jönköpings Södra and FC Trollhättan.
Mikkel Regard and Lars Olden Larsen scored Hacken’s other two goals.
