The Detroit Red Wings turned around and beat the Pittsburgh Penguins

The Detroit Red Wings have had an amazing turnaround.

The team trailed by four goals but eventually won.

– We were much better and deserved to win, says coach Derek Lalonde, according to the Detroit News.

Overtime was required to decide the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings. And just over two minutes later, Jake Wollman completed the visitors’ stunning conversion with the winning goal 5-4.

It was a two-sided match. We played probably the best hockey all year in the second and third periods, star Dylan Larkin says after the win according to the Detroit News.

Honoring the Swedish goalkeeper

In terms of goals, they’ll probably want to forget about the first period anyway. Because even if they weren’t outright beat, Detroit was already 0-4 after 20 minutes.

So after the break, a change was made. Swedish goalkeeper Magnus Helberg had to come up and pass the ball again with 19 balls.

He was excellent and was at his best tonight in the final minutes of regular time, says coach Derek Lalonde.

The Detroit coach continued to honor his Swedish goalkeeper.

He made a save in extra time, which gave us the chance to win the match. Magnus hasn’t played much in the NHL lately and his teammates wanted to play well for him.

It was the second consecutive win for Detroit.

Another Swedish goalkeeper who had a successful night was Linus Ollmark. He missed just one shot against the New Jersey Devils and led the Boston Bruins to a 3-1 win. There were a total of 29 preserved for the Olmark.
