The Instagram account of Börje Salming’s ALS Foundation was hacked

Börje Salming’s ALS Foundation was started with the aim of contributing to research and providing support to relatives.

Now the organization’s Instagram account has been hacked.

“It’s really sad.”writes Niklas Lidstrom.

On November 24, famous hockey icon Purée Salming passed away in the ALS wards, at the age of 71.

At the end of October, the ALS Foundation of Börje Salming was formed, with the aim of contributing to research and providing support to relatives. Niklas Lidström agreed to lead the foundation, which was started by Borgje Salming’s friends and family.

He also started an Instagram account named “borje_salming_stiftelse” and at the time of writing has more than 40,000 followers.

Salming puree.
Salming puree.

“pretend fuck”

But now the account has been hacked, and Expressen was the first to report it.

– Yes, it was hacked or kidnapped. We’re working hard to try to solve it,” says Rikard Josefson, chairman of the foundation’s board of directors.

– One is outraged that a charity in the name of Börje Salming is being subjected to something like this. Hacking into someone’s account is never acceptable, even less so in this case. We may be naive, but no one has anything against Börje Salming or raising money for ALS research, right?! But the dark side seems to have no limits, Josephson sighs.

Nicklas Lidström fills in:

“I was told that today. It’s really sad that it was hacked and that this is happening.”Lidas writes in a text message.

“Contact us a lot”

The foundation has now posted a post on its website with information about the matter and says it is in contact with Meta (which owns Instagram and Facebook).

– I might also add that a lot of people have reached out wanting to help. Even then, says Rikard Josephson, people are incredibly generous with their time and skills.

Sportbladet is also looking for Nicklas Lidström.
