Captain Lindelof: ‘I have to take extra responsibility there’

– I wouldn’t call it that. But we just have to talk to each other and understand that we can be a very good team. That belief we had in ourselves…we’re a tough team to face when we get it. If we do that, we will win on Tuesday. Nelson Lindelof says:

Ludwig Augustinsson is on the same line:
– Now we have to talk to each other. We just have to win on Tuesday and show the Swedish people that we can win. Of course they have doubts now, says the left-back.
Nelson Lindelof believes that the biggest problem against Serbia is that they have not won duels on the field.
– How will you win matches if you don’t win duels?
Diane Kulusevsky pointed out the same problem.
So why didn’t they win the duels in the match?

We have many players who do not play for their club teams. This is the difference. They (Serbia) have players in Lazio, Juventus and the Premier League who scored 10 goals and play every minute for their club teams and they are real leaders in their teams while we are currently struggling in ours. In the end, I think that’s the only difference, says the Spurs player.
Augustinson is one of those who cannot play for his club team. In fact, he initially featured in Seville last spring and then at Aston Villa this fall and hasn’t played a minute in the league since April.
-Obviously one of the factors was that some didn’t have long to play or were injured. It’s not best to come to a meeting completely without playtime. He says it’s hard to be at his best after that.
