The photographer stole the head of Bigfoot

The official mascot of more than two meters tall has become more like a star at Hayward Field in Eugene, USA.

Police were then called to Hayward Field after a certified photographer stole the head of “Legend the Bigfoot,” according to the Guardian.

Shortly after the main theft, several videos surfaced on social media showing unidentified men playing with yellow heads “Bigfoots”.

However, the playing time did not last long when the police were able to track down the culprit in the drama thanks to the surveillance cameras and with the help of another photographer.

“We can confirm that a Hayward Field certified photographer has been removed in connection with an investigation into a theft at the arena. This is a police matter now,” the World Cup organizer said in a statement to The Guardian.

The World Cup organizer chose the mascot, which returned to the athletics arena on Tuesday, to reflect that for centuries in Portland there have been stories of a mysterious creature roaming the area, a creature that has come to be known as “Bigfoot.”

The World Athletics Championships in Eugene runs through July 24.
