Ex-Bluvet midfielder Thomas Rogen is ready to play for Helsingborg.
The 32-year-old will join the club next week.
“I am very proud to sign a wonderful association like Helsingborgs IF,” Rogne says in a press release.
A somewhat unexpected signing surprised Swedish football on Friday afternoon.
Helsingborg has announced that they will sign a 2.5-year contract with the 32-year-old midfielder Thomas Rogen.
“It’s a club that belongs to the top of Swedish football and you see that when you’re at Olympia, it’s a great arena with great fans and great support,” Rogni says in a press release.
Profile in another club
Rogen made the move from Norwegian football to Scotland Celtic at just 19 years old.
After his stay in Wigan, he ended up at IFK Gothenburg where he played 66 matches for the Allsvenskan and became a big profile for the club.
He has recently spent time in the Polish Lech Poznan and the Greek Apollon Smirnis.
We are pleased to bring in an experienced midfielder at a good age. Thomas will contribute leadership and routine qualities to a team we currently have young players, says sporting director Andreas Granqvist.
Famous Weddings
Two weeks ago, Rogne celebrated his marriage to 26-year-old superstar, Ada Hegerberg. The couple actually married in 2019 but had to wait until this year to celebrate due to the pandemic.
“Great moment,” Hegerberg told Verdens Gang afterward.
