Tony Martenson rumored to move to LHC and Djurgården • Answers

Almtuna’s sporting director is rumored to be Djurgården and LHC

Almtuna sporting director Tony Martensson, 43, is doing well with small means in Allsvenskan hockey.

Clubs such as Linköping and Djurgården have also been rumored to be in the works – and he has received an offer for next season.

– I have something to think about, he says without going into what club it is about.

Tony Martenson is in his second season as Tony Martenson’s athletic director. The former top player has quickly made a name for himself and has recently become something of a rumor.

One of the teams looking for a sports director is hockey rival Allsvenskan Djurgården. Athletic Director KJ Stubel says they’re a long way through the process and have a few names in mind.

One of them is Tony Martenson.

“Yes, I would probably say that,” says Stoppel.

– He did a great job on the tune, so he’s obviously interesting.

Another team is Linköping, where Martensson played for six seasons, which is looking for an assistant to sporting director Peter Jacobsson.

– I understand the relationship with Toni given that Toni was in Linköping and has friends there, watches matches sometimes and is in good shape where he is today, says Peter Jacobson.

Jacobson has a list of interesting names, and when asked if Martenson was one of them, he replied:

– Very difficult question, haha.

– Tony is clearly interesting anyway given what he has achieved in the series and the connection he has with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It would be strange otherwise.

Martinson himself is well aware of the rumors circulating. He was also asked by the LHC before this season but then chose to decline and continue with El Moutouna for another season.

– It indicates that you have done well where you are today. The LHC is of course close to my heart. I played six seasons there and it meant a lot to me. It was close last year, but then I chose to keep driving. “We have a good dialogue,” says Martinson.

Are you interested in this role?

– Now I have full focus on the text. What happens next remains to be seen but it is clear that it will certainly be interesting.

When it comes to Djurgården, he knows he’s on the list.

– I don’t know more than that.

Are you having a conversation now?

– no.

“It’s exciting that Djurgården is responding.”

Are you interested in this role in Djurgården?

– Of course it’s fun when a club like Djurgården communicates, but it’s nothing more than that at the moment.

Martensson says he has not received an offer from LHC or Djurgården. His contract with Al-Matouna expires at the end of the current season, and he says he expects to stay for the rest of the season.

-I do, sure.

How it will be next remains to be seen. Martinson has an offer to decide on, but does not want to move to his club.

-I have received an offer for next season. He says: I have something to think about.
