Ulsan Hyundai is making another attempt to sign Gustav Ludwigson

South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai FC is making another bid to sign Gustav Ludwigson.

According to Sportbladet’s info, the club is once again preparing to meet Hammarby’s price for the striker – and what remains of a deal is for Ludwigson himself to say yes to the transfer and agree personal terms with the club.

Last winter, South Korean champions Ulsan Hyundai FC worked hard to sign Hammarby striker Gustav Ludvigson. The club then agreed a transfer fee with Bagen and it was up to the fan favorite to choose whether he would go to South Korea or stay at Hammarby.

He ended up signing a new contract and then chose to remain loyal to the Whites and Greens for another two years. Ludvigsson was recruited from Örgryte three seasons ago and has since scored goals and appeared for Hammarby.

As a result, he quickly became a crowd favorite at Bagen, and last season he scored 12 goals and made three appearances.

They could become teammates with Darjan Bojanic

According to Sportbladet’s information, South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai is now making a new attempt to sign the 29-year-old. They made initial contact with Hammarby regarding a transfer and announced that they were ready to counter Bagen’s price for the player. As Sportbladet has learned, it is now up to the player to reach an agreement with Ulsan Huyndai on a personal contract in order for the transfer to take place.

Hammarby previously lost several key players when they sold Darjan Bojanic to the same club and it is not clear if Simon Sandberg will extend his contract. In addition, the club sold Mohannad Gehzi to D.C. United of MLS.

It remains to be seen if crowd favorite Ludvigson chooses to accept the South Korean’s request this time around or if the 29-year-old chooses to stay a second time.

The player is expected to make a decision within the next few weeks.
