Vancouver admitted another loss after the lead

New York. It happened again…

Vancouver went 2-0 up in the first leg tonight too – but still managed to lose again.

– But tonight at least we tried to win. We couldn’t score, says coach Bruce Boudreaux after the fourth straight loss.

Already against Washington last night, Canucks broke the all-time record. No one else has started the NHL season with three losses in a row – having led by two or more goals.

The streak of all but the compliments became longer in Ohio last night.

Bo Horvat made the score 1-0 after 7.51, with an assist from Elias Peterson And the Oliver Ekman Larson – After 11.11 the same Peterson scored his third goal of the season with the help of Nils Hooglander.

But then things went just as usual. The Blue Jackets team was demoted and tied. Admittedly, said Horvat made sure to give the visitors a fresh lead in the middle of the third game, but Johnny Goudreau leveled again – and so Vladislav Gavrikov decided in overtime.

That means the Canucks at least saved their first point, but rest assured – it didn’t cause any celebrations.

There’s nothing I can say to the boys after a match like this. Coach Bruce Boudreaux says: ‘They’re mad, that’s enough, you can see the way the clubs are flying through the locker room.

– But that was still progress. We played well and tried to win. We couldn’t score in the last 10 minutes.
