Varnamo beat Helsingborg 3-2 – Marcus Antonson decided

Marcus Antonson scored a 3-2 rout of his team Värnamo.

The king of goals against Helsingborg was decided in the last minute of the match.

The best thing that happened in my career. A real slap in the face for Helsingborg, Antonson explained to Discovery+ after the match.

At the start of the match, Varnamo was sloppy in their transfers and Helsingborg won plenty of ball in midfield. But this will change.

Varnamo is weak in defence, and Helsingborg had chances of dribbling the ball for most of the first half.

Värnamo is poisonous in the final positions

In the 12th minute, Varnamo saved the ball. Without Marcos Antonson, he will score. Low cross from the right wing finds Antonson, who puts him safely behind the Helsingborg goalkeeper.

2–0 will also come to Varnamo. In the 38th minute, Antonson stands at the far post when the ball drops in front of him after a weak defensive play by Helsingborg.

Helsingborg’s reduction will come shortly before the end of the first half. In the 41st minute, Ammar Mohsen was unmarked at the far post and headed the ball into the net. The first goal of the striker Allsvenskan.

Helsingborg is back in vain

It was the second half at the time and it was swinging back and forth.

In the 54th minute, Mohsen, the newcomer, will equalize the match with a score of 2-2. The striker receives a pass from Looper and puts his foot inside and puts it in the right corner of the goalkeeper.

Half the time, Mohsen told Discovery+:

– Nice to do that. Now we have to make sure that we come up with the others. It showed that we wanted to win this.

But that was not the case. In a swing second half in which both teams tried to get a lead, Varnamo was drawing the longest straw.

In the last minute of the match, Antonson was shooting again and scoring the winning goal. In the corner, the 31-year-old stood free and fought the ball inside, achieving the final score 3-2.

Matthias Lindstrom, Helsingborg Head Coach on the loss:

– Too heavy. We do everything we can. This is felt. But we will fight for as long as we can stand it, he told Discovery+.

Antonson’s three goals against Helsingborg mean he has now scored 15 goals this season for Varnamo at Olsvenskan.
