After yesterday’s games in the SHL, four players were reported to the Disciplinary Committee. Two players were convicted, and two were acquitted.
Viktor Eggesel of Färjestad came at high speed towards Philipp Bestedt of Linköping and injured his knee. He received a three-match ban and a fine of SEK 26,250.
Örebro’s Daniel Glad from HV71 made a save. He was suspended for two matches.
“The application is supported by film sequences. According to the panel, it is clear from the film sequence that the offensive player is unaware of the incoming tackle and is striking hard in the back. In light of this background, the Board considers that Daniel Glad was guilty of checking his penalty from behind which would lead to suspension in accordance with the decision .”, can be read in the Board Resolution.
hits the shoulder
Växjö’s Erlend Lysund was penalized for elbowing Rögle’s Hugo Gustavsson. He was cleared by the disciplinary committee.
Frölunda’s Niklas Laso was also released from reporting a key tackle in the match against Oskarshamn on Thursday.
“The panel did not find that it was evident from the film sequence that the tackle collided head on, but rather shoulder to shoulder. Nor is the tackle judged so serious that it should result in a charge being suspended. The report is therefore presented without consent.” The decision on the lasso case.
